Kasko is not compulsory, but it becomes essential as vehicle values rise. It is the only policy that compensates you when you are at fault, when your parked car is hit by an unidentified driver, or when your vehicle is stolen. Because scope varies significantly between insurers, the policy wording matters as much as the price.
Extended kasko packages add replacement vehicle, roadside assistance, glass breakage, legal protection, minor repair and key loss cover. Flood, hail, earthquake and terrorism are standard with some insurers and priced as extensions by others. Deductible options reduce the premium but require you to contribute at claim time.
Fleet kasko is a bulk structure priced specifically for businesses with three or more vehicles. It provides a single renewal calendar and discounts based on fleet-level claims performance, producing a meaningful cost advantage over the sum of individual policies as the fleet grows.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between kasko and traffic insurance?
Traffic insurance covers third party losses; kasko covers your own vehicle. They complement rather than replace each other.
What does extended kasko mean?
Packages that add replacement vehicle, glass breakage, minor repair, key loss and legal protection to the core cover.
Is a deductible policy worth it?
It lowers the premium but you pay a fixed amount per claim. The advantage shrinks if you expect more than one claim per year.
Does kasko cover the damage I cause to others?
No, that is the compulsory traffic policy's job. Where its limits fall short, supplementary motor liability (İMM) is issued alongside kasko.
How is the insured value determined?
The current valuation list published by the Insurance Association of Türkiye applies, and it caps the claim payment.
